Dental Bridges and Dental Crowns
Our Etobicoke dentist office offers dental bridges and crowns as part of restorative services for your smile.
What is a dental crown?
A dental crown covers your tooth to give it structure and support. It can be made porcelain, zirconia or metal alloys. If a tooth can't be repaired with a filling, or another dental procedure, then we might recommend a crowns.
How does the dental crown procedure work?
At Royal York Dental, we offer CEREC, which is a technology that allows us to produce a crown within one visit. Our dentists will use 3D imaging and a camera to create digital impressions of your teeth. CEREC is used to create impressions without using mold.
What is a dental bridge?
A dental bridge may be used to replace one or more teeth by attaching to the teeth on either side. The placement of a dental bridge will fill the gap between the teeth to create a full smile. A dental bridge can also be used as a space maintainer, so that your natural teeth do not shift into the place of the gap.
How long do dental bridges last?
A dental bridge's longevity is dependant on the health of the supporting teeth. Routine oral hygiene is important for the maintenance of your smile.
