Custom Home Teeth Whitening Trays

Popular brands include NiteWhite and Opalescence which provide custom-fit trays that hold the concentrated teeth whitening gel on the teeth. You can sleep with them in to increase the exposure time. Touch-ups may be required every 6-12 months to maintain your results.

Laser Teeth Whitening

Laser teeth whitening is also called in-office teeth whitening, since it must be done inside a dental office. At Royal York Dental, we use the Sapphire System. Using a combination of the laser whitening and the custom trays may also be recommended for our patients.

Current whitening products are created with desensitizers so patients may not experience as much sensitivity. There might be a few days after treatment where patients experience sensitivity. We believe you will find the whitening systems we offer to be non-invasive, and comfortable for use.

What are some tips for routine maintenance?

After enjoying that cup of coffee, just rinse your mouth with water to help maintain your whitening results. It is also recommended that you avoid food or beverages that may stain your teeth. We recommend that you rinse your mouth immediately after any staining beverages such as coffee, tea or red wine.
